Product Description

Misha, a Russian filmmaker, sets sail with wife in a tiny lifeboat in search of a film-friendly country where he can make his film. They drift cross the Pacific, landing in New Zealand. But Misha soon realises that his new home is no more receptive to his ideas than Russia. He withdraws into himself, until his relationship with Nadia collapses. Alone, he descends into madness. Only the aid of a young Polynesian woman saves him from himself. He begins to reconnect with the world around him.
